Day 9, Part 1: (petroglyphs and rain)

We went to Arches National Park. I upgraded the receipt from Grand Canyon for 55 bucks, and now for the next year I can go to any of the National Parks in the United States without having to pay an additional fee. Good, because there are a LOT more places I have yet to go.

Arches is stymies me. It’s a land of wind-shaped rocks…. and all of them are so incredible wise-looking. It was interesting, because Kayla and I remarked that Arches is what the Valley of the Gods would look like 200 million years from now, while Valley of the Gods is what the Grand Canyon would like like in the same amount of time. Arches is something you should all explore, it’s a world of colors. Kayla remarked that it was interesting because there wasn’t just one shade of brown, of green and of yellow, it was all shades and hues in between. Arches is a land of the earthen rainbow. I felt close there.
