Day 10, Part 1: (caves and carvings)
Trekking out towards Dead Horse Point, we opted out because they wanted to charge me 10 dollars to see a cliff, so we drove to Canyonlands instead, which was a much better idea, so… (I just wanted to just another adverb).
We pulled off, walked down a couple trails, and then attempted the 5mi trail to Zeus and Moses. About 2 miles into it, we found the cave pictured above. It doesn’t really look as big in the photo, but it honestly could probably have contained… let’s see… what’s a good unit of measurement…. 50 school buses. Probably more, actually. It was a huge cave. We crawled up inside, onto a ledge, and discovered carvings from 1906! Not prehistoric, but I can’t complain, that’s still older than 100 years, and there were VERY few carvings in there.
